How do I set up a post offset?

Q&ACategory: PluginHow do I set up a post offset?
Kaspar asked 1 year ago

I use to post grids on the static frontpage of http://www.jutlandstation.dk and i would like an offset of 1 on the second grid, so the top-post isn’t shown twice.

Welcome to our forum,
great to see your grid with top full width post.
Can you please mark your first post as Sticky  and see whats happening ?

Regards

I don’t have that option. I use WPBakerys Visual Composer on the static frontpage. And the grids are posted as two shortcodes

i see, i thought you are using one short-code for post grid , can you please tell those post are regular post or custom post type ? please see the screenshot where the post sticky located http://i.imgur.com/KDq1Kys.png , if these post come form regular post type you could make this grid in one short-code , make first post sticky and add some CSS on stick post will give you full width.

It’s a magazine, so there will be a lot of posts each week, and it would be a lot of work to change the sticky post each time, if i understand you correct? This is my setup on the frontpage:http://imgur.com/hPs72V5

The shortcodes are two different themes

Thanks for your reply, is that top post(full width) come from most recent post or others ? another way you can solve the issue exclude post by id , please see the screenshot http://i.imgur.com/C2KPoC7.png ,

If above are not working then i need an update the plugin to set “offset” variable currently not in query. if you allow me then i can try for you. Regards

Top post is most recent post with the Thumbnail theme – just show 1 post. The other shortcode is also recent post with the left right theme. The thing is, that i have new posts all the time, so i can’t exclude with ID without changing it manually every time? An update with the offset variable would be awesome!
