How to change position of team container on website page?

Q&ACategory: PluginHow to change position of team container on website page?
Joke asked 1 year ago

Hi!
I just updated my pro version of the team plugin from version 2.3 to 3.0.6, and I noticed some changes I would like to address.
– On my website’s team page I have two sentence of text that I would like to have above the team container. In the admin panel the sentences are placed before the team shortcode [team id=”x”], but when viewing the page (see: http://www.kwaliteitsmetersensire.nl/~joke/wordpress/our-team/) they are located below. This must have something to do with the update, because they were above the team container when I first created the page.
– Another change is the color of the team grid. I use the Flip Y theme and when flipped, the thumbnails had a grey background. This is something I liked because the background of my page is white and the contrasted was a nice-to-have.
Is there some custom CSS that can solve both ‘problems’ indicated above?
Thanks in advance for your answer!

Welcome to our forum and glad to see you are using pro version of team
#1. i would not recommend to insert text inside at top of team, you can decrease top margin & padding to bring down your top text to close team grid. please use as following CSS to custom CSS box

.team-container {
  margin: 10px 0 !important;
  padding: 10px 0 !important;
}

#2. yes, you background issue can be solve by CSS also.

Please let me know for more help.

Hi!#1. Thanks for the answer. However, it did not do the trick, I’m afraid. With the custom CSS I created some free space above the div team container, but my 2 sentence are still at the bottom of the page, although there is space enough above. I think it has something to do with the position of the div team container. It seems that it is default before other divs on the page. Is there an easy way to change this default position? #2. I was able to change the background color of the whole div container. But I’m not sure where I can change the background of the team grid thumbnails themselves (I don’t know which CSS selector I need to edit). If you could help me with this, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Hasan. I’m having exactly the same problem with a title that’s supposed to be above the Team containers. Not recommending this isn’t a solution. There must be a way to put a title above the shortcode, and have that title stay above the Team container. This worked fine for me in 3.0.5 but broke (along with other things) in 3.0.6. Could you please look into this? Thanks,
David
